Junior sessions are run on Sundays from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. The sessions will be run by Junior Coach, Ben Goodayle.
The club boasts a number of professional coaches up to Class 3 level. The coaches will also be supporting the new England Squash and Mini Squash award schemes.
Our philosophy is to give as many children the opportunity to play squash at any level. We currently have a number of juniors at county standard. We also encourage players to enter tournaments whenever possible.
A thriving junior section has weekly coaching / playing times together with Junior teams in competition with others from across Kent.
I began playing squash at 13 years of age having previously concentrated on Tennis. Whilst a junior, I have competed in many ESR tournaments and have travelled to play in Belgium, Ireland and France and have represented Kent Juniors. I have been coached during this time by Chris Tomlinson and most recently Ben Ford. I still enjoy competing and wish to play at the highest level I can achieve whilst coaching and completing my studies.
Since 2016, I have been coaching at The Mote Squash Club running junior and adult squads and 1 to 1 lessons. The sessions combine drills, technique and fitness. I have also run several introduction to squash courses in junior schools working with Kent Squash in the Maidstone area and assisting with the Kent Junior Coaching programme.
From September 2018, I am studying PE & Sports Science at Canterbury Christ Church University and look forward to now coaching at Canterbury Squash Club.

I have been coaching since 2004 (complete beginner to regional level) and enjoy helping people get the most from these great sports. I was very lucky to learn the basics of squash at a young age but anyone and everyone can learn how to play squash and/or racketball at any age.
Lessons are available for all standards of play, both adults and children, groups and individuals. If you need any help or advice, please get in touch.
I also offer personal training, which includes sports specific training and health/nutrition plans. So whether your goal is weight loss, weight gain or general fitness, personal training can help you to achieve your goals. Up to three people can share a session.
